Credix is your central app for loyalty and membership cards. Scan barcodes in seconds, pick brands with matching logos, and access your cards anytime in a clean list or brand view.
At a glance
- No server storage of card data: No card contents (e.g., barcodes, notes, images) are stored on my servers. When you create a card, only the selected brand is sent once for statistical purposes.
- Optional iCloud sync: Data stays on your iPhone and—if enabled—is synced via Apple CloudKit with your Apple ID.
- No trackers, no analytics: No tracking or analytics tools are used.
- Offline first: Works without internet. Camera/Photos access only for scanning/import.
What data does Credix handle?
- Card content: Barcode data, display name, optionally a generated/saved barcode image.
- Brand assignment: Selected brand (logo/color) or your own custom brand.
- Notes: Optional per‑card notes.
Storage and sync
- On‑device first: All data is stored locally on your device.
- CloudKit (Apple): If iCloud sync is enabled, Apple CloudKit syncs your data with your Apple ID. The data is associated with Apple, not with me.
- No third‑party sharing: No transfer to other providers, except for the optional online logo search (Clearbit), see below.
Permissions
- Camera: For live barcode scanning (QR, EAN‑13, EAN‑8, Code 128, Code 39, PDF417, Aztec).
- Photos: For optional photo‑based import of barcodes.
Statistical brand submission
When you create a card, the brand you select (name/identifier) is sent once to my server for statistical purposes only. No other data is transmitted—specifically no barcodes, notes, images, device or user identifiers, and no personal data.
Online logo search (Clearbit)
If you use the internet logo search when adding a new brand, the app performs a background request to Clearbit (clearbit.com). The request includes the logo text you entered (search term) and standard HTTP metadata such as your IP address. No card contents, notes, or barcodes are sent. You can avoid this by not using the online search and choosing your own logo/emoji/color instead.
No analytics, no tracking
Credix uses no analytics frameworks, no crash or usage analytics, and no ads.
Your control
- You can disable iCloud sync anytime in iOS settings.
- You can delete cards, notes, and brands at any time.
