Find your strength-training rhythm. KieserTiming guides you through movement and hold phases on your iPhone and, optionally, Apple Watch. Find answers about using the app and managing your data here.
How do I start a workout?
Tap Start. On iPhone, a short countdown runs first, then movement and hold phases alternate until your chosen total duration ends. Tap Stop to finish early. The history records the workout’s timestamp and cycle count.
Which times can I change?
Use the iPhone app’s settings to choose total duration, hold time and movement time. You can also enable and choose a sound. Training times are sent to your paired Watch with the KieserTiming Watch app installed.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. You can use the timer on your iPhone. The additional Watch app offers a wrist-based timer, haptic cues and, with HealthKit permission, a heart rate display. Its workout session helps keep it running when you lower your wrist.
How does history sync?
Training entries are stored locally and synchronised through CloudKit when iCloud is available. If entries are missing, check that your devices use the same Apple Account, have iCloud access for the app and are connected to the internet. Synchronisation may take some time.
How do I delete sessions or whole days?
Open the history on your iPhone and expand the day you want. Swipe left on a session and choose Delete. To remove all entries for a day, press and hold its heading, choose Delete day and confirm. With iCloud synchronisation active, deletions also propagate to your other synchronised devices; this may take some time.
Why are times or heart rate readings missing?
For training times, your Watch must be paired and the Watch app installed. Open both apps and check the connection status in the iPhone app’s settings. Heart rate display also requires the relevant HealthKit permission and available readings.
What data does the app process?
The app stores training timestamps, cycles and preferences. It uses Apple services for synchronisation and health features, and Google advertising on iPhone. It does not send your training history or heart rate to the advertising system. The privacy policy explains storage, deletion and your choices.
How do I change my advertising choices?
When the consent service requires privacy options, a privacy settings option appears in the app’s settings. Use it to change your choices. You may still see ads without personalised advertising.
